About Our Ranch School
At Silver Sage Ranch School, students are invited to slow down, dig in, and discover the magic of ranch life. Located in Menifee, CA. Our outdoor, hands-on classes blend animal care, gardening, nature exploration, and creative play to foster curiosity, confidence, and connection.
From gathering eggs and brushing donkeys to planting seeds and learning how to care for the land, our young explorers gain real-world experiences while developing responsibility, empathy, and joy. Led by experienced educators and ranchers, our programs are designed to meet kids where they are—whether they need sensory support, wide-open space, or simply a little fresh air and freedom.
Whether it’s a weekly class, seasonal camp, or homeschool enrichment, Silver Sage Ranch School offers a grounded, heart-centered learning experience where every child is seen, supported, and free to grow.

Winter Ranch Camp
December 29th - 30th
Celebrate winter break at the ranch with three cozy, animal-filled days of hands-on fun! Campers will spend each day caring for our horses, goats, donkey, and chickens while enjoying ranch skills, garden projects, seasonal crafts, movement games, and outdoor adventures.
Families may register for the full 2-day session or choose individual drop-in days, depending on what works best for their schedule.
Campers are grouped by age for safety and developmental support:

A completed registration form + waiver is required for each child.
Full-day campers must bring lunch.
No early drop-offs, please.
Drop-in refunds are not available, but families may switch to another date if space allows.

Little Ranchers (Grades JK/K)
**This is a homeschool enrichment, drop off program**
Our Little Ranchers program invites young learners ages 4–6 to explore the ranch through hands-on, nature-based learning! Each class blends early childhood education with life on the farm, fostering curiosity, responsibility, and confidence in a fun, nurturing environment.
Children will spend time each week interacting with our friendly ranch animals — including ponies, donkeys, goats, chickens, and more — while learning about animal care, gardening, and ranch life. Through themed lessons, stories, and crafts, Little Ranchers develop foundational skills in science, math, and literacy, all while building empathy and connection to nature.
Each month focuses on new topics such as:
- Animal Care & Responsibility
- Farm-to-Table Gardening
- Horse & Pony Basics
- Nature Exploration & Sensory Play
- Creative Crafts & Storytime

Ranch Explorers (Grades 1st-5th)
**This is a homeschool enrichment, drop off program**
Our Ranch Explorers program invites children ages 7–12 to experience life on the ranch through hands-on, educational activities that build confidence, teamwork, and a deep connection with animals and nature.
Each week, students learn practical ranch skills—feeding and grooming animals, maintaining pastures, and exploring horsemanship basics—while also engaging in themed lessons that integrate science, art, and environmental education.
Explorers will:
- Work hands-on with horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, and more
- Learn about animal behavior, care, and responsibility
- Explore gardening, composting, and sustainable ranch practices
- Participate in creative projects and team challenges
- Build leadership skills, empathy, and a sense of accomplishment
Classes are designed to encourage curiosity, independence, and community. Whether caring for animals or exploring the land, every session helps our Ranch Explorers grow in knowledge, confidence, and connection to the world around them.

Quiet Corral (Grades K-2nd)
Our Quiet Corral program is designed for children who thrive in a slower-paced, sensory-friendly environment. This small-group class provides a peaceful setting for kids ages 5–8 to connect with animals, nature, and themselves through calm, structured ranch activities.
Each week, children engage in gentle animal interactions, mindful movement, sensory play, and creative expression. Whether brushing a pony, collecting eggs, or exploring the garden, every experience is guided with care and intention to promote confidence, emotional regulation, and connection.
Quiet Corral supports children who may be sensitive to noise, crowds, or fast-paced environments—offering a safe space to learn, grow, and shine at their own pace.
